Post the "Oscars Slap" controversy actor Will Smith recently made his first red-carpet appearance with family after the incident.

Hollywood actor Will Smith who earlier grabbed a lot of attention for his famous-infamous “Oscars slap” has now made his appearance on the red carpet for the first time after the incident. The actor recently graced the red carpet with his family, wife Jada Pinkett Smith, and children Trey, Willow, and Jaden alongside.

Earlier this year, Hollywood actor Will Smith grabbed a lot of attention after he slapped comedian and presenter Chris Rock live onstage during the Oscars for making a joke at his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Following the controversy, the actor was recently seen making his first-ever appearance on the red carpet after the incident. The actor graced the red carpet, at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood with his family, wife Jada Pinkett Smith, and children Trey, Willow, and Jaden. Apparently, the actor graced the event for the Los Angeles premiere of his new film Emancipation.

Will Smith’s upcoming film, Emancipation is directed by Antoine Fuqua and stars Will Smith as a slave in Louisiana in the 1860s who escapes his plantation. The film is based on a true story of a former slave named “Gordon”. Apart from Will Smith, the film also stars Ben Foster and Charmaine Bingwa. Speaking about the filming experience, Will told Variety, “It’s certainly unlocked an empathy and a gratitude that I get to live in this time. And a gratitude for the people who went before me and before us, to take beatings, so I can stand here today.”

On March 27, 2022, during the 94th Academy Awards, actor Will Smith stunned the world as he slapped the comedian Chris Rock across the face during Rock’s presentation for Best Documentary Feature. However, Smith later apologized for his actions after he was issued a 10-year ban by the film Academy after he disrupted the recent 94th Oscars by slapping presenter Chris Rock on stage
