Will Ferrell is hitting the streets for a new comedy feature from 20th Century Studios. The performer is attached to produce and star in Street Justice for director Peter Atencio.
According to a report by Deadline, Dave Callaham is writing the script for the project that will center on a character who decides to deliver his own brand of justice.Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum will be serving as producers alongside David Koplan while Callaham is said to be the executive producer of the project.
Earlier, the filmmaker Atencio has worked on the features Keanu (2016) and The Machine (2023) and is known for television work on such projects as Key & Peele, The Last Man on Earth and The Afterparty.Will Ferrell and his fellow Harper Steele were featured in this year’s Netflix documentary film Will & Harper.
Other recent movie credits for Will include Quiz Lady, Barbie and Spirited, along with voice roles in Strays and Despicable Me 4. Although much details are kept under wraps, soon Ferrell will also be seen in next year’s Amazon wedding-focused feature You’re Cordially Invited and on the Netflix series Golf.
