Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler haven’t said a word to confirm nor deny their breakup, but we all know pictures speak a thousand words –or in this case, Austin not being in Vanessa’s holiday pictures spoke a thousand words.
A source close to the former couple revealed to a leading daily, “The two are split for now, but are going to see what happens. They have such a history and deep connection they could find their way back to one another. Right now she felt like he needed to go and be single and see if that’s what he really wants.”
The alleged reason for their break up is because Butler is shooting his upcoming Elvis Presley biopic with Aussie director Baz Luhrmann down under – in Australia. Hudgens, however, is back in LA after shooting The Princess Switch 2.
Another source revealed, “They’re just shooting on two different continents and it’s a matter of distance. There is no bad blood at all, and they have a lot of respect for each other.”
Talking about long-distance relationships, Vanessa had recently told a leading magazine, “It’s eight years this year–FaceTime, good communication, respect and trust are what keep us going.”
“The longest we’ve been apart was four months. It sucks! You start hating hearing yourself say ‘I miss you.’ But if it’s your person, you make it work.”
The magazine, unfortunately, published her interview this month.
