Why Did ‘BTS Run’ Come To A Halt? Read To Know More!

Rumors have been making rounds how the popular variety show most probably won't have a comeback, following a long hiatus.

Fans of Korean boy band BTS can’t seem to get enough of the boys, no matter how often the boys make appearances. The hunger of always seeing them perform, interact with them or even just see them eat is all that ARMYs truly want. After running for over 6 years and with more than 150 episodes, the ‘self-produced’ show decided to take a hiatus, the label officially announced it to the fan on Weverse.

The show kick-started in 2015, and features the 7 members of the group BTS in each fun-filled episode playing challenging games, fighting zombie apocalypse, writing emotional letters to each other or making kimchi together. The show has given ARMYS some of the most unforgettable moments, like that of Jungkook, making glazed sweet potatoes that stuck hard to the plate or Namjoon trying to cut carrots. It’s not the fact that the boys went on a break from the show, as fans have always wanted the very best for the boys and know they deserve a break to reflect upon their personal lives, but its the fact that the label didn’t announce when actually the show will make a comeback.

Some disappointed fans even believe that the show, unfortunately, will never resume again. So, is BTS Run ending? To answer this, NO! As the label mentioned, the variety show is indeed on a short break but intends to resume the show pretty soon. in the two-part finale episode, the boys even made it a point to reveal to fans that this is not the end of the show. For the unversed, the boys have always had a very happening schedule, the one that almost always keeps them on their toes.

Due to the global pandemic, things were definitely at a halt but now with the situation going back to normal, BTS has a lot of things piled up on its plate. With four sold-out mini-tours in the month of November and December, that took place in Los Angeles last year, an online concert that soon followed it, shooting for BTS In The Soop 2, the iconic Grammys’ performance which is now followed by a 4-day tour in Vegas, there’s a lot going on in their professional lives.

Despite the busy schedule, the band has managed to deliver top-notch content throughout last year, giving us chart-topping songs. So many things have been lined up for the boys that they haven’t released an album yet, since November 2020. Also for the new ARMYs, who might feel like they haven’t got quite much from the boys with respect to the show, there are always older ‘BTS Run’ episodes to binge-watch! Bottom line, the show will, perhaps, make a comeback anytime soon, as Jimin himself had cleared the air surrounding the end of the show rumour “To tell the truth, we chose this rest. We made this decision to do better with our members and ARMY.

We chose to take a break because we want to do even better. So I’m not too sad. We chose this. It can be disappointing and sad now, but I don’t want you to be sad. I hope you aren’t too sad or disappointed. I am very grateful to ARMY for your continuous support.” and group leader RM confirmed himself about the show that it’s just a break, “but it will definitely continue.”
