WHY celebs HATED Eminem’s surprise 2020 Oscar performance

Find out the reason behind the outraged celebrity reactions during Eminem’s surprise performance at the 2020 Academy Awards.

Eminem was a surprise performer at the 92nd Academy Awards, but celebs weren’t having it. In fact, they looked anything but surprised. Judging by their facial expressions, they looked rather annoyed.

But this wasn’t the case back in 2002, when Eminem’s pseudo-biopic 8 Mile hit the big screens and  was a huge success. It was commended by critics as well as the audiences. The 8 mile soundtrack even went on to become one of 2002’s bestselling albums.

However, Billie Eilish, who looked less than enthusiastic at Em’s performance was merely 11 months old at the time, so we don’t expect her to “get” him.

In fact, Eilish was captured looking unenthused at Em’s surprise performance of the hit track “Lose Yourself” at the 2020 Academy Awards on Sunday night.

A gif of Billie’s expression went viral on social media, however she hasn’t directly shared her thoughts on the surprise performance.

But that wasn’t the only gif of Billie that went viral on Sunday night. She’s even seen cringing at Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph’s attempt to be funny.

Apart from Billie, another unenthusiastic celeb reaction to Marshall’s performance was none other than, the legendary Martin Scorsese, who was nominated in more than one category for The Irishman starring Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci.

But maybe he was just tired. Fans absolutely loved Eminem’s surprise performance.

In fact, in a poll conducted by a leading news portal “Lose Yourself” was ranked as the best-loved performance of the night, betaing Janelle Monae’s awesome opening performance.

So why did some celebrities look less than impressed by the real Slim Shady’s performance? Our best bet would be the exhaustingly long three and a half hours ceremony which left the celebs super tired.
