Netflix series You has blurred the lines between a villain and a victim. However, its most recent third installment has raised an unexpected question, Who is more psycho, Joe (Penn Badgley) or his wife, Love (Victoria Pedretti)?
Although when the first season was aired it was believed that Joe is a Psychopath. For unversed, Netflix’s original thriller series You follows Joe Goldberg, a young man who has a pattern of becoming obsessed with certain women, stalking them, winning them over, and killing anyone around them he believes has wronged his beloved.
On one hand, many of Love’s murders mostly failed, were in the name of saving her family, like her teenage lover, Theo (Dylan Arnold), and his step-mom, Natalie (Michaela McManus), whose flirtations had convinced Love that divorce was on the horizon. So at least we can say, Love did it for love. Then comes Joe, who faked her wife Love’s suicide and burned down their family home including, a symbolic white picket fence.

Even they have nurtured hobbies that they can escape into when they’re feeling stressed or anxious as Joe loves reading and Love enjoys baking. Moreover, they use brutal violence as a primary coping mechanism.

However, the big reveal in the finale has already confirmed that Love saw Joe just as Joe saw Beck. She was willing to do anything to protect him, including killing people. Love may have poisoned Joe, but Joe did kill the mother of his child. Moreover, Joe has countless other bodies in his past, but Love also locked her neighbors in a glass cage for days on end. Meanwhile, it is difficult to say who’s worse but, it is sure that fans will witness more blood in the next season.
