F9 shared the news to their fans via social media.

This is the third Hollywood film to postpone its release date due to the pandemic, having previously postponed their release date are James Bond‘s’ No Time To Die’ and John Krasinski’s’ A Quiet Place Part II.’

The trailer of the much-awaited F9: The Quick Saga released at The Road to F9 Concert in Miami on February 1, 2020, with live performances by Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa, Ludacris, Charlie Puth and Ozuna. Meadow Walker, the daughter of late Paul Walker, attended the trailer launch event.

The ninth installment for Diesel’s Dominic Toretto is more of a family matter, as he has to face off with his nephew, Jakob, played by John Cena.

He is described as “a master thief, assassin and high-performance driver”.

The film will also feature Sung Kang’s return as Han, who apparently was killed in the third chapter. We will also witness Justin Lin’s return as the director of F9: The Fast Saga. For the unversed, he was in charge of the series third, fourth, fifth and sixth chapters.

It was scheduled to open in India on 22nd May in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Universal Pictures International India is slated to release the film in India.
