After RM, Suga, and Jin, the K-Pop group BTS member V has tested positive for COVID-19 making five cases in just three months. Kim Tae-hyung aka V was experiencing symptoms and went to the hospital to get a PCR test the band’s label said.
The BTS singer, who is double vaccinated, tested positive for the virus and is only suffering from a ‘mild fever and sore throat.’ However, the hashtag #GetWellSoonTaehyung is already trending on Twitter. Meanwhile, it was revealed on Christmas Eve that Suga tested positive for COVID-19, with RM and Jin testing positive on Christmas Day. And earlier this month, BTS members Suga, Jin, and RM all made full recoveries from the coronavirus.
The official statement from Big Hit reads, “He is currently undergoing treatment at home while waiting for further guidelines from the health care authorities.” The label went on to explain that V was around other members of his boyband prior to the positive test result but everyone was masked and socially distancing. The rest of the group doesn’t appear symptomatic and they have all since tested negative.
Bighit statement continues, “The company places the artists’ health as our top priority and we will do everything we can to aid V in his speedy recovery.” “We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the healthcare authorities.” However, Suga, Jin, and RM, along with the group’s other four members Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, were fully vaccinated, receiving their second vaccine doses in August.
The group had just returned home to Korea after a successful tour, BTS Permission To Dance On Stage tour, and the Jingle Ball Tour in Los Angeles. Their hit song Dynamite was named the top song of the year on Apple Music and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, earning RIAA triple-platinum status. They also scored a 2022 Grammy Awards nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit song Butter.
