On Saturday the NBA player shared a heartfelt message on Instagram alongside an adorable photo of the ex-couple with their 2-year-old daughter True. The former couple in the picture are all smiles lying together on a trampoline, while the Good American founder embraces their chuckling daughter.
“I’m wise enough now to know, you came into my life to show me just what it means to be an incredible person,” Thompson captioned the post. “I appreciate how I am able to learn from and grow because of you.”
Thompson, 29, further wrote, “I thank God for the beautiful and loving woman you are to everyone, especially our daughter True. You deserve the world Koko! True and I love you mama. Happy Birthday @khloekardashian ❤️ .”
Commenting on the post, Kim Kardashian West wrote Thompson that his words were “so far beyond sweet.”
Kardashian and Thompson spent Father’s Day along with their daughter True last weekend.
Khloé Kardashian — who shares 2-year-old daughter True with 29-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers player — wished her ex a happy Father’s Day on Sunday, sharing a pair of cute father-daughter snaps.
“Happy Father’s Day!!” along with a picture she wrote showing Thompson and his daughter sharing a happy moment in the pool.
Another smiling snapshot highlighted the strong family striking similarity between the NBA player and their daughter. “You two are definitely twins @realtristan13,” she said while the pair wearing matching camouflage costumes.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star in addition to Thompson also paid tribute to all other fathers in her life, including her brother Rob Kardashian and her late father Robert Kardashian. Such as Caitlyn Jenner, Scott Disick, and Kylie Jenner ‘s ex Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian West ‘s husband Kanye West also got a shout out.
Thompson, from a previous relationship, is also a father to son Prince, 3.
Kardashian and Thompson parted ways last year after news broke that he and their family friend Jordyn Woods had hooked up. It was not their first public scandal: in 2018, while she was pregnant with True, Thompson allegedly cheated on the reality star too.
Nevertheless, the exes have remained friendly and have even explored the chance of having a second child together — and in recent months, a source told PEOPLE on June 11, they have grown “closer” to each other.
“The lockdown made them closer,” the insider said. “They hadn’t spent this much time together since they lived in Cleveland. They have had an amazing spring with True in L.A.”
The source also reported that “Khloé and Tristan are great co-parents” and “they also really like each other.”
“Tristan has been on his best behavior. Khloé is definitely charmed by him. If he is able to keep things up, it’s very possible that Khloé would get back with him,” said the insider, further added, “She isn’t dating anyone else.”
