Shanna Moakler and her ex-husband, Travis Barker, parted ways in 2008, however, the actress seems to clear out one of her last connections to her marriage to Travis Barker by selling the diamond engagement ring he gave her. The model recently auctioned off the ring to the highest bidder through Worthy.com, with the winner fixing the deal for $96,500.
Meanwhile, Shanna sounded conflicted about the auction in a previous interview. She said, “Nobody expects a happy marriage to end… and nobody ever hopes to let go of sentimental and valuable things.” Moakler told Entertainment Tonight that the ring was her dream ring, but it’s time to move on, what with their 2008 divorce long behind them and Barker marrying Kourtney Kardashian in a lavish Italian wedding.
Moakler shared to the outlet, “I think it is a beautiful piece and truly was my dream ring.” “However, that chapter of my life is over and even though wearing it at one time brought me great joy, I hope it will find a new home and continue to bring someone as much happiness as it once did to me. It’s truly an iconic ring!” Moakler was originally expecting to sell the ring for $120,000, though she told Us Weekly it’s worth around $160,000. She finally sell it for over $96,000.
Shanna was married to Travis from 2004 to 2008, and they share two children, Landon Barker and Alabama Barker. She also has a daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, with boxer Oscar De La Hoya, whom Travis considers one of his own children and has maintained a strong relationship with even after the divorce. Shanna and Travis’ relationship took a turn when he filed for divorce in 2006, but the couple appeared to have reconciled by the following year, only to finalize their divorce in 2008.
While Barker has moved on with his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, Moakler is currently focusing on herself and her children. Moreover, she is hoping that she and her on-off ex-boyfriend, Matthew Rondeau, will reconcile though she previously clarified that they are ‘not officially together’ again after splitting in February following an altercation between the two that led to the model’s arrest.
