The Blink-182 drummer was accompanied by his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, and two of her children, Penelope and Reign. Travis chronicled the journey in a series of Instagram Stories on Monday, beginning with footage of Kourtney in the passenger seat and her children in the back of an orange antique truck. Kourtney clutched her black Prada bucket hat as she panned the camera to Travis’ foot on the throttle pedal.
When the pair arrived at their location, both Barker and Kardashian shared images of the tranquil beach sanctuary, with the Poosh entrepreneur even filming video footage. Travis posted an Instagram Story hours before their trip, showing a large bunch of flowers from Kris Jenner and her long-term boyfriend, Corey Gamble. Travis was photographed on a stretcher with Kourtney at his side on June 28.
A source subsequently told Entertainment Tonight, “Travis was sick and had intense pain in his abdomen and it really concerned him and Kourtney. They called 911 and he was rushed to the hospital. After speaking with Travis and running several tests, doctors said Travis is suffering from pancreatitis.” Travis addressed the health crisis in a letter to his followers on July 2.
Travis shared on his Instagram story, “I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But After dinner, I developed excruciating pain and I have been hospitalized ever since. During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in the very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis.” On the same day, Kourtney revealed on her Instagram Story about her husband’s “scary” and “emotional” hospitalisation.
“Oh what a scary and emotional week it has been. Our health is everything, sometimes we take how quickly it can change for granted. Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis,” she wrote. Later that evening, Kourtney accused the paparazzi of selling outdated pictures of her to make it appear as though she was “out and about” while Travis was in pain.
“And to the paparazzi who sold pictures of me ‘out and about’ while my husband was in the hospital fighting for his life… these photos were actually taken weeks ago, (I can’t even remember the last time I wore that sweat suit in the photos)… I didn’t forget about you,” Kourtney wrote. “A new level of low, monetizing off our of our nightmare,” she added. “Really savagely uncool when I actually didn’t leave his side… shame you.”
