Tom Hiddleston Teases At Where ‘Loki’ Season 2 Will Pick Up From

Created by Michael Waldron, the third television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Loki is now streaming on Disney+.

The third television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Loki is now streaming on Disney+. Created by Michael Waldron debut season of the televisual MCU offshoot climaxed with the multiverse being blown wide open by Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie after killing He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors). The series follows the eponymous character post-Endgame.

However, attending MCM London Comic-Con at the weekend, Loki aka Hiddleston teased where the second season will pick up and he’s being typically secretive. According to DailyMail, Hiddleston said, “OK so look, we can’t say anything, unfortunately, but at the end of episode six, season one, Loki comes back to TVA,” he told the crowd.

Moreover, he also stated, “He’s quite traumatized, he’s quite emotional and he tries to explain what happens to Mobius (Owen Wilson), and Mobius doesn’t recognize him. And then he turns to look at the statue of the Timekeepers, but it’s not a statue of the Timekeepers, it’s a statue of someone else… And I guess we’ll start from there.”

Loki season two seems to pick up exactly where season one left off, with a returned Loki trying to convince Mobius and Hunter B-15 of who he is and the deadly threat that’s headed towards them. Not the biggest surprise in the world, but good to know we won’t be in for any massive time jumps. However, Di Martino also appeared to drop another crucial detail, when asked where she’d time travel to if she got the chance. “2022, to see what happens in Loki 2,” she said inadvertently confirming the series will return next year.

Meanwhile, acknowledging that it wasn’t the most illuminating teaser in the world, he added, “I’m so sorry to disappoint you!” However, at the time of season 2’s confirmation, Hiddleston shared in a statement, “I am so grateful that we got to do season 1, I still am not quite able to process that we get to have another go at this. I am so excited by the possibilities.”

Loki star added, “We are already in discussions. Deep, deep, deep discussions. I can’t wait to get started. I want to say thank you to the audience because without the audience, we wouldn’t be able to make a season 2. I hope season 1 was full of surprises. And I think season 2 will be full of even more.”

The series begins with Loki’s arrest by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), as he creates a new timeline, influencing the ‘sacred timeline.’ The TVA resets the timeline and brings Loki in front of Judge Ravonna Renslayer for the trial. TVA agent Mobius takes charge of Loki, and the series progresses through Mobius and Loki trying to hunt down a detrimental Loki variant who killed several agents of the organization.
