Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and Tom Holland’s Spider Man to cross path confirms Venom director

Ruben Fleischer, the director of Venom confirmed Tom Hardy's Venom and Tom Holland's Spider-Man will soon be seen crossing paths. The director revealed that Sony is planning an event for both movies to result in a Venom-Spider-Man confrontation

Venom director Ruben Fleischer recently confirmed that Venom and Spider-Man will cross paths! The villain of Spider-Man was introduced to us last year in a standalone movie when Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker was seen disintegrating in Avengers: Infinity War just months before, which resulted in Spider-Man’s absence in the Tom Hardy starrer.

But with Venom 2 in the making fans are wondering if they would see Spider-Man and Venom together. Though Sony keeps teasing fans about a possibility, Venom director Ruben Fleischer confirmed that Sony is actually working towards a Peter Parker and Eddie Brock confrontation.

He said, “That’s where it’s all going to lead. [In] the comics, he evolved from Spider-Man but because of the Marvel-Sony thing we weren’t able to that. And so the thing I think it’s building towards, and will be exciting to see, is when they actually do confront each other.”

Even Tom Hardy was recently seen teasing a possible addition of Spider-Man in Venom 2. The actor shared a picture of him wearing the Iron Spider-Man suit on his social media, but quickly deleted it! But seems like some of his fans beat him to it, as they shared the screenshot of the now-deleted post.

Though Ruben dished out details about the Spider-verse plans, the director is however not a part of the Venom sequel. Months ago it was confirmed that Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War actor Andy Serkis will be directing the new Venom 2 film. Venom 2 is slated for release on October 2, 2020.
