Tom Cruise Is Mobbed By Eager Fans As He Arrives For His secret Role In Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration

Tom Cruise arrived at The Queen's Jubilee Celebrations in Windsor on Sunday and he found himself mobbed by eager fans.

It was recently revealed that Tom Cruise will be taking part in the special event. The Top Gun actor looked relaxed in an all navy ensemble and flashed his famous smile as he arrived for the special evening. While his role in the proceedings is not yet known, the evening will see several A-lister performers come together to celebrate the Monarch’s remarkable 70-years on the throne.

However, Tom found himself surrounded by eager fans as he made his way into Windsor’s annual horse show, which serves as the venue for Sunday’s celebration. However, the actor was escorted through the crowd by security, as he fist-bumped and waved to the thralls of waiting fans. The Mission Impossible actor looked stylish in a dark navy sports jacket which he layered over a figure-hugging V-neck T-shirt styled with slim-fit jeans.

This comes after Alan Titchmarsh, who will host a segment of the broadcast, recently laughed off being upstaged by the Hollywood hunk. When organisers broke the news, he replied, “Well, has anyone checked with Tom Cruise if he’s ok to be overshadowed by ME?” Meanwhile, a Royal source said, “He was joking, of course, but that’s precisely why the Queen is so fond of Alan Titchmarsh’s shows, it’s his sense of humour.”

The unlikely duo have top billing for the first major TV event of the Platinum Jubilee celebrating the Queen’s 70 years on the Throne, a live broadcast from the Royal Windsor Horse Show. While talking to Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham during the celebratory evening, Tom Cruise said, “It’s a wonderful event; it’s an honour to be here. It’s a privilege.”

Of the monarch’s milestone occasion, Tom added, “She is just a woman that I greatly admire. She has tremendous devotion and I admire her dignity. I love the history. I have great respect for her. It’s wonderful, I really love the tradition. What a moment!” Continuing his praise, the Top Gun icon gushed: ‘Presidents, world leaders, people of all walks of life, not just in America but the world, know dignity and devotion and kindness – something I’ve always felt about her.’

Ahead of the gala, Mr Titchmarsh said, “Tom Cruise and I are not a natural pairing, but I’m all for breaking the mould. It has raised a few eyebrows and given rise to a few comments, but it has also raised the profile of the event. I just want to get out there and do a good job and I’m sure Tom Cruise feels the same.” He continues, “Mr Cruise will have his Royal favour repaid this week when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attend the UK premiere of his new film, Top Gun: Maverick, in London.”
