After a year of no in-person red carpet, Primetime Emmy Awards is back. Last year the event was organized virtually due to a pandemic. The event is being conducted at Los Angeles’ Event Deck at L.A. Live on the evening of Sunday, September 19
Talking about the show, Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso was seemed to be favorite with 13 nominations. It bagged 4 trophies, including three acting awards and 1 win for the Outstanding Comedy Series. However, The Crown, which went in with 11 nominations, proved to be the big winner as the series clinched 7 awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, and awards for directing, and writing. The series also went get four acting awards for Tobiaz Menzies, Olivia Colman, Josh O’Connor, and Gillian Anderson.
American actor Jason Sudeikis took home the award for best actor in a comedy series, while Jean Smart bagged a trophy in the best lead actress category for the HBO Max series Hacks. Josh O’Connor, Olivia Colman, Kate Winslet, Ewan McGregor, and Kate Winslet also went home with acting trophies.
