James Gunn recently teases The Batman Part II release date and its future. Robert Pattinson is all set to return as the caped crusader in theatres on October 3, 2025. Further information on the film, including plot details, is still kept under wraps. During a press event held on the Warner Brothers, James Gunn and Peter Safran confirmed the release date of the upcoming film.
Gunn also confirmed they were still going forward with Matt Reeves’ Batman trilogy. Talking on the same, the filmmaker shared, “Matt is working on [The Batman Part II], which he thinks of as a Batman Crime Saga, which also includes [The Penguin] series, and it is its own thing.” Gunn added, “He’s hard at work on that. He came in and pitched us some amazing, really cool stuff the other day. So our plan is for that to continue.”
Safran said, “And Batman’s not a stepchild. I mean, it’s all under DC. We are fully invested in the success of the Batman, just like we are everything else.” Warner Brothers announced last year that Robert Pattinson will reprise Batman in the upcoming sequel. They also revealed Reeves would return for the sequel. The Batman was a huge success at the box office. The thriller shows Batman in his second year of crime fighting when he’s still relatively unexperienced.
Alongside Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz appeared in the film as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman. Meanwhile, Paul Dano starred as The Riddler and Colin Farrell joined the cast as the Penguin. In a previous interview with People, Robert Pattinson opened up about some of his fitness secrets for getting into Batman shape. The heartthrob revealed one of his techniques was even limiting his sips of water to make his physique stand out that much more.
The actor confessed, “I had about three months before the movie started, and then you’re working out before and after work all the time.” “You just cut down and cut down and cut down before a couple of scenes with your shirt off, and you’re counting sips of water,” the actor added.
