Taylor Swift Creatively Reveals Final Track Of Her Upcoming Album ‘Midnights’

Taylor Swift used a bingo roller to randomly pick the name of the final track from the soon-to-be-released album Midnights.

Taylor Swift announced that she would be releasing a new album during her appearance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. Recently, the singer revealed the final track of her album. Swift took to her social media and shared a humorous video in which she revealed the name of the final track on her upcoming album Midnights.

In the video, the grammy winner singer used a bingo roller to randomly pick the name of the soon-to-be-released song. Swift began the clip by expressing that she had become well known for sharing hints about her albums with her fans over the years. Taylor said, “It’s me, hi. I know that I have a habit of dropping cryptic clues and Easter eggs when giving you information about new music and I am not here to deny that.”

The Grammy-winning hitmaker added, “I am here to defy that. Welcome to a new series I am calling Midnights Mayhem with Me.” The singer and songwriter then motioned to her bingo roller and explained how she would be using the device in her videos. Swift stated, “I am going to be using this technologically advanced device to help me allow fate to decide exactly what track titles I am going to be announcing and in what order.”

Taylor then remarked that each ball would be ‘representing a track on the Midnights album.’ After pulling out her first selection, she revealed the name of ‘track 13, because of course. Track 13 is called Mastermind.’ After teasing her album at VMAs, the Grammy winner singer later shared a social media post and revealed more details of her upcoming album. Swift also confirmed the title of the upcoming album is Midnights.

The singer shared the cover art of the album. Swift also revealed that the album is a “collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams.” Taylor wrote in the post, “For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching hoping that just maybe when the clock strikes twelve…”

Swift added, ‘we’ll meet ourselves.’ Swift captioned the post, “Midnights, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be out Oct. 21. Meet me at midnight.” Swift also confirmed that there will be 13 (her lucky number!) new songs on the album, though she didn’t reveal the track titles. The singer’s recent album announcement comes almost a year after she released Red (Taylor’s Version) in November 2021.
