Taylor Swift Lip Syncs To Her Hit Song ’22’ As Celebrates Her Cat’s Birthday

Taylor Swift's blue-eyed ball of fluff is the third cat in her cat family, which includes Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey.

Taylor Swift celebrated her cat Benjamin’s birthday by sharing a video of herself lip-synching to her track 22 while using a New Year’s-themed filter. While rocking the ‘I’m Feeling 2022’ headband as multi-colored confetti fell in front of her face, the 32-year-old pop star mouthed the words to her fan-favorite song from her album Red, which she rerecorded earlier this year.

While giving her followers a glimpse of her darling Ragdoll kitten, Taylor captioned the video, “Benjamin is 22 in cat years. #ImFeeling2022.” In the video, the Grammy winner rocked her signature winged eyeliner and a blue and pink tie-dyed Stella McCartney x The Beatles hoodie. Swift also wore nude lipstick and golden locks in a chic straight style as she sat on the floor next to fur baby at the bottom of her stairs.

However, her blue-eyed ball of fluff is the third cat in her cat family, which includes Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey, named after the Law & Order: SVU and Grey’s Anatomy characters played by Mariska Hargitay and Ellen Pompeo. Meanwhile, Benjamin, who she sometimes calls Benji, became an internet sensation after appearing in her ME! music video alongside Panic! at the Disco’s Brendon Urie.

Although, not long after the video was released, the Cardigan hitmaker confirmed she adopted the cat. When the cat’s on-set handler handed him over to her during the music video shoot, Swift says it was love at first sight. Taylor said, “She handed me this tiny cat and he just starts purring and he looks at me like, ‘You’re my mom, and we’re going to live together.’ I fell in love.”

Taylor then continues, “I looked at collaborator Brendon Urie and he’s like, ‘You’re going to get the cat aren’t you?’ It was truly love at first sight, love at first purr.” Urie added, “You did not stop. It was just adorable.” Previously, Taylor has said that she is ‘obsessed’ with her four-legged friends and even appeared in the 2019 musical Cats.
