It’s shocking for Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn fans as the duo parted ways after six years of dating, reports claim. The news was first reported by ET. This is the reason, according to a source close to the publication, why Joe hasn’t been seen at any of Swift’s performances on her current Eras Tour. The insider further stated that the relationship had just “run its course” and that the rumoured breakup of the former couple was not “dramatic.”
In 2016, Taylor and Joe began dating. The pop icon and the British actor had to keep a very secret and out-of-the-way relationship over the years.
A source had previously revealed that Taylor is “very happy” with the union. He is her rock, the insider continued. They have a fantastic, mature connection.
Last year in October, Swift talked about her relationship with Joe to ET. She had said “If you were in the lavender haze that meant you were in that all-encompassing love glow. I thought that was really beautiful. I guess, theoretically, when you’re in the lavender haze you’ll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud.”
She further added, “I think a lot of people have to deal with this now, not just ‘public figures,’ because we live in the era of social media, and if the world finds out that you’re in love with somebody, they’re going to weigh in on it. Like my relationship for six years, we’ve had to dodge weird rumors, and tabloid stuff and we just ignore it. This song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff.”
Although the couple has not yet confirmed this, their fans are heartbroken and cannot believe it.
