2019 seemed like a great year for Taylor Swift! Taylor who is rather very secretive about her private life got candid about where her life is amid her latest album, Lover, dropping in June. Even in her recent interview with Billboard Magazine, she spoke about being named as the Woman of the Decade. Her interview also included details about her upcoming Lover Fest music festival which will commence in June 2020 and finishes about one month later on August 1 in Massachusetts. And though this seems shorter compared to her Reputation Stadium Tour which was for about six months from May to November 2018, she revealed the reason for the same.
She said, “This is a year where I have to be there for my family — there’s a lot of question marks throughout the next year, so I wanted to make sure that I could go home.” IT seems like Taylor was hinting at her mother Andrea‘s cancer diagnosis while she gave that cryptic answer to her plans for 2020. Even in her piece for Elle Magazine in March 2019 she spoke up about Andrea’s cancer returning. She in her article revealed that her mom and even her dad Scott have had cancer, while that of her mother was back.
She wrote, “It’s taught me that there are real problems and then there’s everything else. My mom’s cancer is a real problem. I used to be so anxious about daily ups and downs. I give all of my worry, stress, and prayers to real problems now.” Even her mother’s battle with cancer inspired Taylor’s song “Soon You’ll Get Better.”
