Succession Season 4 FIRST Look Is Here, Check Out

Succession Season 4 will move at least some of its deal-making and family backstabbing to the Scandinavian mountains of Norway.

The first look of Succession season four has been unveiled! HBO show got a first teaser trailer confirming there’ll be no shortage of drama when the hit show returns. Production on the series began this summer and while an official release date has yet to be revealed it is expected the show will air next year.

Though many details have not been revealed from the teaser, it’s clear that the tension is still brewing within the Roy family as they continue to battle for control over Waystar Royco. For the Succession season 3 recap, the series left off with ruthless Waystar CEO/family patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) withholding control from his children: Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kiernan Culkin), Conor (Alan Ruck) and Shiv (Sarah Snook).

However, in the teaser, it seems Logan has no intention of giving in to his children any time soon as the teaser sees him shouting ‘This is not the end. We’re killing the opposition.’ The teaser clip comes after it was revealed the show will get a temporary reprieve from its usual location within the concrete jungle of Manhattan. For season four, the Emmy-winning drama will move at least some of its deal-making and family backstabbing to the Scandinavian mountains of Norway, according to Variety.

An official synopsis for the upcoming series reads: ‘In the 10-episode season four, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer.’ ‘The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed.’ The synopsis concluded: ‘A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.’

Additional cast members were also confirmed for the new season. They include Peter Friedman, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Justine Lupe, Scott Nicholson, Zoë Winters and Jeannie Berlin. There are also said to be more cast members that will be announced at a later date. Succession has earned an impressive 23 Emmy nominations for its first two seasons, taking home nine wins.
