The Stranger Things’ stars are growing up so fast that the show’s creators said they will have to manage it on the show. Matt and Ross Duffer, who created the hit Netflix series, recently talked about having to do a time jump in-between season 4, the first part of which came May 27 and the second part which is due out on July 1, and season 5.
During an interview with TVLine. Ross said, “I’m sure we will do a time jump.” “Ideally, we’d have shot (Stranger Things Seasons 4 and 5) back to back, but there was just no feasible way to do that. So these are all discussions we’re going to have with our writers when we start the room up.” The Duffers also admitted that they weren’t ‘ready to say yet a start date for shooting’ for the upcoming season.
While they have been thinking quite a bit about Stranger Things season 5, Ross said the pair aren’t even finished with the second part of season 4 yet. “Believe it or not, we’re still working on Season 4,” he told the outlet. “We’re trying to finish the final two episodes, they’re so massive.” Ross called the ending ‘the hard thing’ and continued, “That’s obviously the stressful thing. We really want to stick the landing.”

The fourth season of Stranger Things became the third most popular English-language season in Netflix’s history in its first 28 days, as reported by Variety. The first part of the fourth season was viewed for 287 million hours in just the weekend after it was released. The show has been watched for 621.8 million hours already, according to ScreenCrush. Bridgerton seasons 1 and 2 are the only seasons of English-language television watched for more hours in the first month after their releases.
It will almost certainly shatter those records with 18 days to go before the end of the first 28 days. Stranger Things premiered back in 2016 on the popular streamer. Since its release, the show has been nominated for four Golden Globes and 11 Primetime Emmy Awards over its first three seasons.
