Stranger Things season four will hit the streaming platform on May 27, and the stars of the Netflix sci-fi hit have recently warned the viewers, especially young ones! The stars have told E! News that viewers have no idea what awaits them. Joseph Quinn, who plays Eddie said to the outlet, “I thought they’d have to tone it down. I didn’t think they would commit to how gruesome it was on the page. But clearly, they don’t care about young kids at all.”

Joe Keery, who plays Steve, agreed while noting, “Kids will be scared. Kids will have nightmares. If I was a kid and I watching this, it would be disturbing.” Meanwhile, Caleb McLaughlin added, “When I watched this season, I was like ‘Wow, I don’t think I would want my nephew to watch this.'” He added, “It’s very gory. It’s a lot. It’s really intense. We really took it up a notch.”

Charlie Heaton, who starred as Jonathan, told that he’s ready for parents to complain that “my kids couldn’t sleep for weeks” after watching season four.  However, Maya Hawke, who plays Robin, revealed what exactly makes the season so frightening, and said “the bone-breaking is really not my favourite thing to watch.” The first episodes of Stranger Things season four arrive on Netflix on May 27, with the final episodes of the season dropping on July 1.

Previously, Millie Bobby Brown teased what fans can expect. The actress who plays Eleven on the popular Netflix series visited The Tonight Show on Friday. During the sit-down, she and host Jimmy Fallon discussed what viewers can anticipate when the first volume of the show’s fourth season launches on May 27. While teasing, Bobby Brown revealed, “The main part, and the slogan of this storyline, is it’s the beginning of the end.”

The actress added, “We really have to dig deep into (Eleven’s) beginning and how she became who she is with the people around her, and how to gain that autonomy and become this woman on her own. So this storyline this season really digs into that.” However, when Fallon asked whether fans can expect answers to the show’s ongoing mysteries, the star replied, “Definitely lots of answers, lots of crying, lots of laughing.”
