The wait is almost over! Fans of Stranger Things can finally mark their calendars for 2025 as the year Netflix will release Stranger Things 5, the final season of the popular series. This announcement came on November 6, which is a special day for fans known as Stranger Things Day, the date Will Byers disappeared into the Upside Down back in 1983. The final season will wrap up all the supernatural drama set in Hawkins, Indiana with a total of eight episodes.
The titles of the final episodes have sparked plenty of buzz. Some familiar themes and mysteries from earlier seasons appear to return, with titles like The Vanishing of… and The Bridge standing out. The Vanishing of… reminds fans of the first season’s plotline when Will Byers went missing. Fans are already guessing who might disappear this time around, with theories pointing to Mike’s sister, Holly Wheeler, who might even be played by Evil Dead Rise actress Nell Fisher. Another title The Bridge, could hint at the characters’ journey between Hawkins and the dangerous alternate world, much like in previous seasons.
Sharing this epic announcement on social media, the intriguing caption read, “In the fall of 1987, one last adventure begins. Stranger Things 5 coming 2025.”
Stranger Things 5 doesn’t just focus on what we’ve already seen it’s set to bring new twists and challenges. Episode titles like Shock Jock and Escape from Camazotz suggest there are new characters, places and mysteries in the mix. Camazotz, for instance, might reference the dark world from A Wrinkle in Time, adding another layer of intrigue to the show.
