Shawn Mendes was forced to reschedule the upcoming UK and European tours late last month. But he seems to have put his disappointment aside and enjoy the stunning natural beauty of Hawaii. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter was spotted showing off his amazing physique on a shirtless stroll around an island with friends.
Shawn’s shirtless look highlighted guitar and butterfly tattoos on his arms, and he wore a simple set of baggy gray sweatpants. The In My Blood singer also had on a pair of brown flip-flops. He appeared to have found a perfectly sized walking stick which he carried along a paved path surrounded by ferns and palm trees. Shawn was joined by several friends on his walk under the piercing sun.
However, one friend mirrored his shirtless while dressed in black jeans, while another male pale opted for a pale green shirt with grey shorts and green-and-white slide sandals. A female friend also joined the trio in a grey dress and lustrous sandals, as well as classic browline sunglasses. Although Shawn hasn’t specified why he’s in Hawaii, the musician may be looking to mix business with pleasure.
Meanwhile, last week only, Shawn posted a video to Instagram dating from his “first day in Hawaii with everyone.” The post featured clips of him and his friends visiting the beach, sitting on mats for some meditation, and playing a game of pickup basketball on a court. The singer also announced in a portion shot while he was driving that he was doing daily workouts at 9:30, which anyone in his crew was welcome to attend.
Even though Shawn was clearly enjoying the amazing vacation in Hawaii, he appeared to also be working on some new musical material. His video featured some footage of him strumming on an acoustic guitar, and he included a short segment of himself on a video chat with others in which he tried to gauge their reaction to a new melody he had written, though he cut the clip short before revealing the tune.
