Shawn Mendes And Camila Cabello Arrived Separately At MTV VMAs

Though Shawn Mendes And Camila Cabello's relationship is going strong right now, the couple opted to pose separately on the red carpet

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have a fairytale-like relationship. Their fans adore them equally. Mendes made his love for Cabello crystal clear on September 12 at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) while he was spotted dancing to her performance. Surely, he became her biggest cheerleader as she sang “Don’t Go Yet” during the event.

Although on the red carpet, the couple had their separate fashion moments. They opted to not pose together as Mendes arrived earlier at the event. Both singers rocked on the carpet. The couple performed at the event and Shawn was even nominated for Best Pop Song (Wonder).

This year, VMAs 2021 is the first award show date night of Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. The couple attends the 2021 MTV VMAs in Brooklyn on Sunday. Mendes was looking stunning in a long white blazer, white pants, and a white top. Meanwhile, Cabello carried a pink and red dress with a bow.

A day before the event, the two were photographed in New York City having lunch together. Camila was captured crying in a shot while Mendes was comforting her and kissed her. However, on the VMAs red carpet, Mendes called out my girlfriend, putting an end to the potential breakup rumors. Mendes said, “I’m really excited to see my girlfriend play, actually. I think the performance is going to be spectacular.”

The couple’s VMA outing follows their appearance at the Miami premiere of Cabello’s Amazon Prime film Cinderella at the beginning of the month. Mendes and Cabello are in a relationship for over two years. This year they celebrated their second anniversary in July.

Last year in December, Mendes shared his feelings of being in a relationship with Cabello during an interview with SiriusXM. They mark some of his most candid remarks about their relationship.

“She is completely all in or nothing,” Mendes said. “And I think that’s something that I wasn’t at the beginning of our relationship. And I think that a lot of people maybe are afraid to be all in, because if you’re all in, then you kind of, it hurts it,” he added. “The blow hurts that much more if it ends, you know? But she really teaches me that if we have one life and we don’t have much time here, it might as well be all in if you’re in love with someone and you’re there. And I kind of learned that every day,” he continued. “She’s so absolutely patient with me, especially when I’m stressed or anything is kind of getting to me. She’ll text me. And if I ever am kind of just being bite-y with her and she’d be like, ‘It’s okay. I love you. No matter what I love you, no matter what.’ And it’s like, that’s real strength and patience and love. But it’s amazing. It’s like a movie,” he further added.
