A recent episode of renowned OTT streaming platform Paramount Plus’s spinoff series based on ‘The Good Wife’ which is titled as The Good Fight having a clear and direct reference of American actor, pop star, singer, producer and entrepreneur Selena Gomez’s 2017 kidney transplant surgery and is spoken up in jester like a joke has not really settled down well with her global fandom aka the selenators and Selena herself which later resulted in a fact wherein finally Selena lashed out at The Good Fight for kidney transplant joke.

Breaking her silence on the same this time around, the former Disney star and alum who is soon to be seen in a recurring role as Mabel in Only Murders In The Building on OTT streaming platform Hulu by 31st August 2021, Selena lashed out at The Good Fight for kidney transplant joke.

The renowned actor and star later also added a note thanking the fans who stood up for her and wrote, “My fans always have my back. LOVE YOU”.

She ended this follow-up tweet with a link to sign up to become an organ donor.

A source close to The Good Fight’s production team told the globally reliable entertainment digital publication that the most recent reference was being taken out of context sharing,  “If you watch the episode in full, the reference to Selena Gomez is part of a discussion the characters are having about topics that are not okay to make fun of and the idea of cancel culture and being cancelled for telling a bad joke. The reference is that Selena Gomez’s transplant is not something you can joke about”.
