Selena Gomez Wants To ‘Be Married And Be A Mom’

In a recent interview, Selena Gomez reportedly described herself as "an extremist" who sees things "one way or the other." The singer also stated that she could see herself starting a family in the future.

The singer and actress has enjoyed a prosperous career over the years in the entertainment sector, but she apparently has no plans to keep up her current lifestyle and work indefinitely. According to E! News, Selena stated on a new episode of the TATATU series Giving Back Generation, “I hope to be married and to be a mom.”

The actress added, “Eventually, I’m going to be tired of all of this, so I’m probably just going to devote most of my life to philanthropy before I peace out.” Selena is said to have stated that she enjoys “keeping it real” and even considers herself an “extremist” who only sees the world from one perspective, which includes social media. “If anybody knows me, I’m an extremist. So it’s either one way or the other way,” Selena explained.

“So I actually got rid of my Instagram on my phone and gave that power to my assistant. So everything I post, I just text it to her instead of having to worry about going on and off. I don’t even know my password.” “But it’s been purposeful because I get excited when I see you guys because I didn’t look at Instagram. So I don’t know what you did or how you are and that’s like a real time that we can gain together,” she continued.

Additionally, Selena reportedly advised others to take advantage of the importance of “mental health” by taking a break from social media for a while. “Just maybe take the weekend off, or start with a day where you just don’t pay attention to it and really be present for what’s around you,” she said. “I think that’s so crucial and a part of our mental health.”

Selena’s most recent interview came just one week after her birthday celebration. She posted two black and white photos of herself on Instagram along with a heartfelt statement to celebrate her birthday. My twenties were a journey through good, hard and beautiful moments that I will never forget. Each of them has shaped me into the person that I am today,” she added, noting that she is “still learning” and is “more certain what matters” with age.
