Selenators are eagerly waiting for Selena Gomez’s new song, and it seems like their wait is going to be over soon. Selena has recently shared a TikTok of herself sitting in front of a microphone in a recording studio. While the singer didn’t say anything on TikTok, it was enough to have fans celebrating in the comment section.
One user wrote, “SHE’S IN STUDIO?!! SCREAMING RN.” Another user chimed in, adding, “New music?!?! Yassss please.” While Selena hasn’t shared when she plans to release new songs, she does tease about her new music. Just a few days earlier on July 1, TikTok beauty influencer Mikayla Nogueira shared a TikTok featuring an interview with Selena about her Rare Beauty line.
In the video, Mikayla asked her if fans could anticipate anything else from the makeup collection this year, to which Selena teased, “Well, maybe and maybe… some music.” Apart from releasing new makeup products, recording in the studio and having her own cooking show, Selena’s hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building is currently airing season two, and to her, it’s even better than the first season.
In an interview, Selena shared, “With my full confidence in my body, this is a million times better than season one. We’ve just got our characters down, we really have a well-blended cast, it’s really diverse. You’re going to be surprised.” Previously, the Only Murders in the Building star revealed she’s currently hard at work on a new album, which would mark her first release since her debut Spanish-language EP Revelación in 2021.
In an interview, Gomez said, “I just finished Season 4 of my cooking show [Selena + Chef], and I am in L.A. working on my album now.” While the songstress didn’t commit to plans for an upcoming tour, she hints that taking her music on the road has been on her radar. The former Disney star said, “I am open to a tour, 1,000 per cent. But I obviously have obligations and things that I want to do, so, when the time’s right. It’s not the top of my priority list.”
