Selena Gomez has already started her year on a great note by release Rare which is her “best album yet” according to BFF Taylor Swift, who got to watch the Lose You To Love Me video with her mother Andrea before the world.
The Look At Her Now singer even voiced a giraffe in the new Robert Downey Jr. movie Dolittle and was seen having fun at the premier. Despite her busy schedule, the songstress made time for herself and got the word “Rare” inked on her neck and posted a video showing off her newly inked skin and even shared a picture of the same. “Did it again @bangbangnyc rare,” she captioned the picture.
In a recent interview with a leading daily Selena opened up about how personal this album is to her. “I’ve said this before, but I used to be terrified of saying anything. I would find myself protecting people that never protected me or cared for me,” she revealed.
She further added, “And I wouldn’t want to say the wrong thing, and I wouldn’t want people to think that I had any other motive, other than just being a kind person—though that is who I am and I am proud of that. I was just done, you know? Just done being silent, and I felt like I deserved to have a moment for myself, after going through so much, and throwing that all into this album. It wasn’t even a thought in my mind that I was doing the wrong thing.”
Gomez also admitted that this is the “happiest place I’ve ever been in my life,” and it looks like she wanted to get a tattoo to pay a tribute to this moment in her life.
