In a recent interview with a globally renowned entertainment magazine off late whilst speaking unabashedly about her upcoming musical album Rare with special emphasis on the meaning behind it, Selena Gomez discloses about her past relationships being cursed.
In this latest frank conversational interview, getting open and candid about her previous relationships and much more, Selena Gomez discloses about her past relationships being cursed.
Opening up on why she never really felt equal along with the fact of those relationships being cursed, Selena started off by saying, “I think most of my experiences in relationships have been cursed. I’ve been way too young to be exposed to certain things when I was in relationships. I guess I needed to find what was that word for me, because I felt so less than in past relationships, and never really felt equal”.
She also went on to explain that the word ‘Rare’ which also is the name of her beauty brand i.e. Rare Beauty, actually meant and encompassed all about the way that she wanted to live her life.
Furthermore, whilst also explaining the thought process behind her latest upcoming album titled Rare, Selena said, “It wasn’t even necessarily like: Oh, I feel that way, let me sing it. It was almost like: Actually, I need to feel that way about myself. I think that my family, and my chosen family—I feel like I’m surrounded by real people”.
We all know about how ex couple Selena and Justin had an on and off relationship and turbulent romance story till 2019 when they finally called it quits and broke up with each other and post releasing the hit single Lose You To Love Me two years back in 2019, the artist spoke up about comments and discussed about how she became herself in a chat with a magazine publication wherein she had said, “It got out of control when I was super young. think it showed people that I was weak in certain moments, and that I had troubles. Some people just get off on building people up and then trying to bring them down… People worry about me because I’ve had some trouble in the past. And it’s kind, it is. But I’m okay. I deal with what I deal with, and if I feel like I’m having a rough week or I’m not up to doing something, I don’t do it”.
