- A Few hours later Hailey posted a screenshot of herself face-timing Kylie with both their eyebrows in close-ups, fans were quick to deduce the post was a dig against Selena.
- In February 2023, Selena and Kylie both denied the rumors of bad blood between them, on TikTok, Kylie addressed these allegations as “a reach” while Selena said that these comments were “unnecessary” and she is Jenner’s fan. Selena on the same day thanked a fan who praised the handling of her breakup with Bieber, she wrote “I love you”. Selena also defended her friend Taylor Swift by commenting “One of the best in the game” on a video where Hailey can be seen miming a gag when Taylor was mentioned.
- Selena went on TikTok live and told her fans that she is planning to take a break from social media. She said, “I’m 30, I’m too old for this.”
- On February 28, Hailey posted a story featuring the song “calm down”, but the song did not have Selena’s vocals in it. This led to some fans thinking that she was throwing shade against Selena.
