Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid & more come in support of Taylor after she gets banned from using her previous music

The music industry has begun picking up sides after Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun has banned her from using her own previous music at the AMAs and in her Netflix documentary. Now celebrities from the industries have been coming forward to support her. #IStandByTaylor.

Taylor Swift happens to be one of the most successful artists in the world and is also ranked as the highest-paid entertainer by Forbes. But her upcoming performance at the American Music Awards and her Netflix documentary are in jeopardy as celebrity managers Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta are now preventing her from ‘performing her old music on television’ as it would count as ‘re-recording’ her music which she isn’t allowed to do until November 2020.

Taylor who was going to be honoured as Artist of the Decade at the upcoming American Music Awards was planning on singing her medley of songs but was informed by Scooter Braun, who owns her previous masters, that she is not allowed to since she doesn’t own it. She also revealed how they have declined the use of older music in her Netflix documentary even though there is no mention of them or Big Machine Records.

Taylor voiced out her issue on social media and many celebrities from the music industry have come out in support of her. #IStandByTaylor began trending on Twitter and celebs like her BFFs Selena Gomez, Halsey, supermodel Gigi Hadid, The Vamps singer James McVey and more spoke about the gatekeepers of music and how it is unfair to take away the rights of her own song.
