Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples. And the Deadpool star recently showered love on his wife’s 35th birthday. Ryan took to his Instagram and shared a series of loved-up selfies.
Red Notice star added photos from this year’s Met Gala. Moreover, in the series of romantic photos of the couple, Ryan also showed off the aftermath of a prank he pulled on Blake as she slept. With her head resting on a pillow and in a deep snooze, the Free Guy star carefully placed pieces of lettuce on her face without waking her.
Alongside the photos, the actor had nothing but kind words for his decade-long partner as he honoured her 35th birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post. Ryan captioned, “Happy Birthday, Blake Lively. You’re spectacular. I’m not sure if you were born or invented.” He concluded his post’s caption by poking fun at the actress periodically needing some space from him, writing, “Also, thank you for urging me to leave the house every now and again.”
For the unversed, Ryan Reynolds married Blake Lively on September 9, 2012, after less than a year of dating. They originally met while shooting the DC superhero film, Green Lantern, in 2010. That same year Ryan filed for divorce from his then-wife Scarlett Johansson and Blake called it quits with her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley. The couple reportedly started their romantic relationship in October of 2011.
Since tying the knot, Blake and Ryan have welcomed three daughters into their lives, James, Inez, and Betty. Blake gave birth to their youngest daughter Betty just months before the COVID-19 shutdown. Blake kicked off her birthday celebrations earlier this month with a magical trip to Disneyland with her sister Robyn, 50. The actress shared snaps from the trip a snap of her posing with Princess Jasmine.
Alongside the photos, Lively penned, “Find me a happier place on earth to start my birthday celebrations early. I’ll wait…” Blake dressed down in a loose black dress and black trainers, adding a souvenir Mickey Mouse baseball cap. Recently, the Gossip Girl actress shared a stunning photo of herself in a white bikini. Blake wrote in the caption, “summer lovin’ …had me a blast.”
