Robert Pattinson Tests Positive For Covid-19; Production On ‘The Batman’ Shuts Down

Robert Pattinson has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the latest reports the production on 'The Batman.'

The Batman paused on its production in London as actor Robert Pattinson tests COVID-19 positive.

Warner Bros. and DC’s upcoming movie ‘The Batman’s shooting is again put on hold following a 5 1/2 month break after a member of the production team tested positive for COVID-19 on the UK.

According to Vanity Fair, Robert Pattinson has tested positive for COVID-19, causing shooting to be stopped on The Batman just days after they resumed filming in London.

 In a statement released by the Warner Bros., it is mentioned that “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused,”  this morning about the situation but Rob’s name was not mentioned in the statement. 

Deadline confirmed the news that star Robert Pattinson is a member of the production team who has tested positive for coronavirus.

No further information about Pattison’s diagnosis is available at present. 

Warner Bros did not respond to the request for comment on whether Pattinson was the “Batman production member” pointed to in his previous statement.

 Recently, production stopped in March on The Batman sets, starring Rob as the Caped Crusader, although most of the film industry ventures were shut down due to orders of social distancing worldwide owing to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Rob quarantined with girlfriend Suki Waterhouse in his London apartment. During the lockdown, the couple celebrated his 34th birthday together in May.

Robert contracted Coronavirus reports come just one day after the new trailer for the highly awaited superhero flick, debuted a glimpse at Batman’s second year of crime-fighting career.

At DC FanDome virtual day, Matt Reeves revealed that his newest version of the Dark Knight takes place in the comic book series during Batman Year Two, and will display The Riddler, the Penguin, and Catwoman as their early selves until they are completely formed in their iconic villains.

The Batman also stars Paul Dano as The Riddler, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred butler of Bruce Wayne, and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone gangster.

The movie is expected to release sometime in 2021.
