Release Date, Where To Listen, Here’s Every Deets About Beyonce’s New Album ‘Renaissance’

Beyoncé surprised and delighted her fans on June 20 when she released the lead single, Break My Soul.

Beyoncé is gearing up to release her seventh studio album! Beyoncé’s Renaissance will mark the star’s first solo album in six years. She previously released 2003’s Dangerously in Love, 2006’s B’Day, and 2008’s I Am… Sasha Fierce, 2011’s 4, 2013’s Beyoncé and 2016’s Lemonade. Beyoncé also appeared on the 2018 collaborative album Everything Is Love with husband JAY-Z, as well as 2019’s The Lion King: The Gift, a soundtrack for Disney’s live-action adaptation that features original music by the artist.

The star also released Homecoming: The Live Album in 2019, which went hand in hand with her iconic Coachella performance from the year prior. However, news of Beyoncé’s latest album comes about after she dropped hints for her Beyhive. The Crazy in Love singer teased fans with some potentially big news last week, mysteriously deleting her profile photos from all her social media accounts.

Beyoncé last deleted her branding right before she dropped Lemonade years ago. Beyoncé also updated the bios on her Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages to reflect the upcoming release. However, there’s still time left for the release of the upcoming album. Here’s everything you need to know about Beyonce’s new album, Renaissance.

Renaissance Release Date
Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, titled Renaissance, will be released on Friday, July 29. Columbia Records announced the release date and name of her upcoming album on June 16th when she changed her Instagram and Twitter bios that read, ‘Act i RENAISSANCE 7.29.’ Renaissance is expected to be released in multiple parts, or ‘acts’, though the composition and timing of those sections aren’t yet known.

Renaissance Meaning
The Be Alive songstress said in her August 2021 Harper’s Bazaar cover story that her new album would represent a ‘renaissance’. She said, “With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again.” Beyonce added, “I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible.”

Where can I listen to Renaissance?
Fans can pre-order the four $39.99 Renaissance box sets, which come in different mystery ‘poses’ and includes a T-shirt, CD, 28-page booklet, and mini-poster. The Official Charts Company is claiming that the upcoming album will be released across all music platforms simultaneously, on Friday, July 29.

Although fans initially needed a Tidal subscription to stream the album’s lead single, Break My Soul, Beyoncé’s official account also shared a lyric video on YouTube. The song, which seems to be the sixth track on Renaissance, bypassed several streaming platforms, including Spotify, in favour of a Tidal release, which is fitting, as her husband Jay-Z is a co-owner of the company.

Are there any collaborations on Renaissance?
No collaborations have been confirmed or even rumoured, for Beyoncé’s upcoming album. However, her lead single titled Break My Soul featured interjections from Bounce rapper Big Freedia.

What is the lead single from Renaissance and when was it released?
Break My Soul is the first advanced single from Renaissance. Beyoncé surprised and delighted her fans on Monday, June 20 when she released the lead single. The superstar singer dropped the track not long after 10 p.m. ET, despite promising that it wouldn’t be out until midnight.

Will Beyoncé tour her new music?
Last week, The Sun reported that the Houston-born Texan’s team has already been ‘scouting venues’ in the UK for ‘live experiences, intimate shows, and other pop-up performances.’ ‘People in her camp have scouted out venues for her to perform at when the music comes out and then there will be another huge tour later on,’ an insider told the outlet.

The source said that the Houston native’s ‘new record and the campaign will be her most interactive one yet because she wants to reach out to the fans,’ and ‘will focus on live experiences outside of touring, including intimate shows and pop-up performances.’ The Crazy in Love singer ‘is planning to spend a lot of time performing and promoting it in the U.K., so there will be unique surprises in store for the British fans.’
