Drake Congratulates Zendaya On Her Iconic Emmys 2020 Win!
Drake praised Zendaya sweetly on her receiving the Emmys with a post after the virtual event.
At 24, Zendaya became the youngest actress ever to win an Emmy in a Drama Series for Outstanding Lead Actress.
Zendaya, 24, for her playing the character of Rue Bennett in HBO’s Euphoria, took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
After her historic Emmys award, Drake, 33, who operates as one of the show’s executive producers, took to his Instagram stories to give Zendaya appreciation.
He shared Zendaya’s sweet shot, as she accepted her Emmy. His note read,“@Zendaya @euphoria it was a LOCK… congratulations.”
Not just that she’s also the second Black actress ever to win Outstanding Lead Actress for a Drama Series. Viola Davis, 55, is the first for her appearance in How To Get Away with Murder in 2015.
Following the Emmys, the actress shared a selfie on her Instagram and expressed how she is feeling after receiving the award, “Still on cloud nine… so grateful, still speechless, to all my friends and family who have texted/tweeted/called etc. I promise I will get back to you tomorrow when I’ve wrapped my head around this amazing night, until then… gonna go to sleep and make sure this isn’t a dream.”
Since winning the Emmy, too many of Zendaya’s Euphoria co-stars-Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, and Barbie Ferreira-sent love and appreciated to her for her good work.
During the Emmys, the Euphoria star rocked two beautiful looks. Zendaya stunned in a regal purple and black dress while performing. She wore a necklace full of exquisite lilac diamonds.
Zendaya had changed to a custom Giorgio Armani Privé black matte weave skirt with powder-pink polka dots when they revealed her as an Emmy winner.
Meanwhile the possibility in the very near future, Zendaya might get a chance to win another Emmy. As Euphoria season 2, is coming back, and Zendaya is reprising her role as Rue. Season 2 hasn’t begun shooting yet, but in the coming months, it is scheduled to start.
