Since the time both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have left the royal family, they both are certainly on a roll as they are announcing high profile new projects in a series one after another. But this latest sudden announcement has even left everyone surprised that Prince Harry and Meghan’s new project is podcasts with Spotify.
This is a known fact now that the duke and duchess of Sussex have been making high profile deals in the past few months but certainly we didn’t have an iota of idea about this new one which is making even Meghan’s fans think that officially crowned Prince Harry and Meghan’s new project is podcasts with Spotify.
This new project is with the globally prominent music streaming app, Spotify where the couple will be seen hosting and producing podcasts with Spotify. Even though not much details are known till now about the same as it is very vague as of now since it’s not known as to on what genre will they be making podcasts or producing them. In a recently released statement, the globally loved music streaming app Spotify said that their content will “build community”.
But soon we will be getting more idea and light on the same. Harry and Meghan, during their recent interview with a leading international entertainment digital portal, explained about how they are releasing a holiday special that focuses on stories of hope and compassion. Throwing more light on same, they said, “What we love about podcasting is that it reminds all of us to take a moment and to really listen, to connect to one another without distraction. With the challenges of 2020, there has never been a more important time to do so, because when we hear each other, and hear each other’s stories, we are reminded of how interconnected we all are”.
Earlier, within this week itself more of the couple’s business dealings were in the limelight and made headlines thanks to their friend Oprah Winfrey. On her instagram handle, the media magnate made a video post wherein she was seen showing off drinks from Clevr Brands, a female led wellness drinks company. Her caption for the post read, “On the first day of Christmas my neighbor ‘M’ sent to me. . . a basket of deliciousness. Yes that M”.
Meghan is an investor in this brand which has been founded in Santa Monica by Hannah Mendoza, where Clevr makes ethically sourced lattes and donates a percentage of the profits to hunger-fighting charities where with more emphasis on same during her recent interview, Meghan said, “This investment is in support of a passionate female entrepreneur who prioritises building community alongside her business. I’m proud to invest in Hannah’s commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love and has a holistic approach to wellness. I believe in her and I believe in her company”.
It seems like this royal couple is finally putting their hands into a lot of different palettes and are proving themselves to be true on their quest of becoming financially independent by using their socially public platforms to become media power players where they are also seen investing in ethical and sustainable businesses. They both apart from their Spotify deal, and Meghan’s role in female led businesses, also have a multimillion dollar deal with globally renowned OTT VOD streaming giant Netflix, where both Harry and Meghan will be working on all things right from documentaries to animated series.
