Olivia Rodrigo Thanks Recording Academy While Arranging Three Grammys On Her Bookshelf

Olivia Rodrigo thanked the recording academy while placing her Grammys on a shelf in the middle of her book collection, and Rodrigo's BRIT Award for the best international song.

Olivia Rodrigo took home three Grammy Awards for the best pop vocal album for Sour, best pop solo performance for “drivers license” and the coveted best new artist award. And the singer recently shared a video on Instagram of herself arranging her Grammys on a shelf in her home after wrapping up her 48-date Sour Tour earlier this month in London.

While placing the gramophone trophies on a shelf in the middle of her book collection, which sits near a piano, guitar and Rodrigo’s BRIT Award for the best international song, Rodrigo said, “Thank you to the Academy.” However, a friend, who appears off-camera in the video, can be heard joking that one of the “driver’s license” vocalist’s Grammys was actually the “best girl award.”

Olivia Rodrigo was on cloud nine after making her Grammys debut. The singer has taken home three awards from the Grammys 2022, however, she has to carry the pieces of one of them. While posing for pictures after the show ended, the pop star dropped one of her awards on the ground, which broke in half. However, she was not the first artist to deal with a broken award at the Grammys.

A similar situation happened with Taylor Swift in 2010, who won four awards that night for her album ‘Fearless’ and dropped one of the awards after the ceremony. Meanwhile, after a huge victory, she celebrated her victorious night with Paris Hilton and friends at a happening afterparty. Rodrigo’s recent post also features photos and videos of the musician spending time with fellow musician Conan Gray at a beach and hiking near the Hollywood sign with another friend.

Earlier this month, Rodrigo marked the Sour Tour’s end with a heartfelt Instagram post of photos and videos taken throughout its nearly four-month run. Alongside the photos and videos, the singer penned an emotional note in the caption, beginning, “SOUR TOUR is officially finished. I miss y’all already.” Olivia added, “one of the best experiences of my 19 years. I feel so lucky that you guys are a part of my life and I’m very grateful that I get to be even the smallest part of yours.”
