Nicki Minaj collaborated with Tekashi 6ix9ine for the new song “Trollz,” released on June 12, and fans couldn’t help but notice that she took a subtle dig at Usher in the lyrics.

“Somebody usher this n***a into a clinic,” Nicki raps on the record. Fans immediately started to wonder whether it was deliberate to use the word ‘usher.’ Tekashi confirmed the speculation by commenting on an Instagram post that “Usher got 24 hours to respond.”

Usher was previously charged with exposing past sexual partners to herpes first without disclosing that he was alleged to have the disease. He had been involved for years in a long legal battle over the accusations. Fans claim that the reference Nicki made to a “clinic” in the song “Trollz” must be a reference to claims that Usher had an STD.

This obvious backlash comes after Usher made some comments with SwizzBeatz about Nicki during an Instagram Live in May. Swizz said he had seen a lot of discussion about organizing a Verzuz battle between Nicki and Lil Kim, to which Usher replied, “Nah, Nicki is Kim’s product.” Nicki ‘s fans were NOT happy with Usher ‘s comment and trolled him on Twitter for days.
