Nicki Minaj Sued For Hitting And Causing Distress To Ex-Manager During Detroit Concert

Garrett claims that Minaj then struck him on the right side of his face with an open hand, which caused his hat to fly off.

Nicki Minaj is being sued by her alleged former manager for assault, battery, and causing emotional distress towards him. Recent reports from TMZ state that a man named Brandon Garrett filed a lawsuit claiming that the “Starships” hitmaker physically assaulted him backstage during a concert at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit in April 2024. Garrett alleges that the incident occurred after Minaj discovered he had asked someone else to pick up her prescriptions.

According to Garrett, Minaj screamed at him, using profanity, and said, “Are you crazy having him pick up my prescription? You have lost your mind and if my husband were here, he would knock out your teeth.”

Garrett claims that Minaj then struck him on the right side of his face with an open hand, which caused his hat to fly off. He also alleges that she hit him on the wrist. Following the incident, Garrett stated that Nicki Minaj’s team refused to allow him access to the tour bus, leaving him stranded in Detroit after the concert.

As of now, there has been no response from Minaj’s legal team. Her lawyer has stated that no valid allegations have been made against her client and that any claims reported by TMZ are completely false and frivolous. This lawsuit is not the only controversy surrounding Nicki Minaj. Earlier, in May 2024, she was arrested in Amsterdam for carrying drugs. She was fined and subsequently released from police custody.
