Nick Cannon Reacts To The “Deadbeat Dad” Tag For His 12 Kids

American television host, rapper, and actor Nick Cannon’s personal life has been widely discussed on social media for being the father of 12 kids. Many times he has been called a “deadbeat dad” by many social media users, and now he has decided to respond to all those claims.

Many individuals have referred to Nick Cannon as a “deadbeat dad” because they think he is trying to build a cult. Recently, the rapper responded to the same by telling The Los Angeles Times that he had been “villainized.”

He stated that he often hears from others that he can’t be here for all those kids. He, therefore, earns the title of “deadbeat dad.” Despite having been in relationships multiple times in the past, Cannon said he does not adhere to a monogamous lifestyle.

According to Cannon, he makes $100 million a year as a result of appearing on programs like “The Masked Singer,” “Beat Shazam,” “Celebrity Prank Wars,” and others. As he spoke about spending time with his kids while working on other programs, he said: “If you feel loved when you see your dad, that’s what’s going to resonate.”

Cannon added that he is renowned for being the father of several children. He said that he is actually at a point now where he doesn’t care what people think. He would have much preferred just working. Instead of telling people you’re a good person, it’s more important to be one.

Nick Cannon has 12 kids in total from various partners. When Monroe and Moroccan, their fraternal twins who are now 11 years old, were born in 2011, Nick Cannon and his ex-wife, singer and songwriter Mariah Carey, began their adventure as parents. The pair separated after six years of marriage. He shares a daughter and two kids with model Brittany Bell. Another set of twins, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, both 1 year old, as well as a 6-month-old daughter, belong to Cannon and Abby De La Rosa.
