The kids would always check in on each other to see how we were doing. We have to look out for each other”.
Stranger Things 4 is currently being filmed – The new season is currently in production, but yes we can say that certainly season 4’s road to the screen hasn’t been without hiccups and hindrances as the series had only been shooting for a month in the last year 2020 before the global wide COVID-19 pandemic when Netflix first shut down production in March 2020.

A few months back on 14th June 2021, a leading digital global entertainment publication officially had reported about how the paps had papped Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) look-alike mannequin that had been put on a stretcher.
Two actors dressed up as EMTs suddenly ended up rushing and taking away that mannequin out of an exploding building into the ambulance which gives a really strong and subtle hint about how Eleven could suffer an injury in season 4. And it would seem the other characters will go to war this season.
Paparazzi managed capturing the stars on the shooting location at the sets as they prepared for a battle scene wherein we saw how Steve (Joe Keery) appeared bloodied and bruised followed by Erica (Priah Ferguson) who got photographed pointing and sticking their tongues at the camera.
Shutterbugs also snapped shots of Max (Sadie Sink), Nancy (Natalie Dyer), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Robin (Maya Hawke) as they prepped their arsenal.
Season 4 release date – A few days back along with the year announcement on social media, Netflix also dropped an official teaser video for Stranger Things season 4 on their official instagram account which has made all fans and netizens really excited and thrilled.
Most fans were already sure about this huge delay as a global entertainment portal reported that the series has had a pretty expected release schedule up until 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic threw everything helter skelter.
The show premiered its first season in the summer of 2016, followed by the second in the fall of 2017, and then the third in the summer of 2019. With that pattern, some had already made a guess that they all would finally get season 4 in the summer or fall of 2021, but actor Finn Wolfhard revealed in a video with fans that the show that the show “should be out sometime in 2022, hopefully”.

A few months back on 6th May 2021, Netflix released one teaser, this one focused primarily on the facility from which Eleven escaped in season 1 and special mention here to the fact that within this short video clip we can see a room full of children with shaved heads, each of them wearing hospital gowns and playing with toys. A mysterious man, who keeps his back to us, enters the room and says, “Good morning, children”.
“Good morning, Papa”, they all together chant in response. That title is almost certainly signifies that this man is Papa, otherwise also known as Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine), who experimented on Eleven and other children as part of a U.S. Department of Energy project at Hawkins Lab.
Down the hall from the children’s play room, we see a door specifically marked with the number “11”, along with the sound of Eleven’s own stressed breathing and next scene we see that a voice which could be of Papa asks, “Eleven, are you listening?” and on this her eyes flash open.
Now a few days back on 6th August 2021, Netflix has dropped another new exclusive sneak peek and a short teaser which has a mix of old and new footage in which fans finally managed to catch a glimpse of their favorite characters and the also got an idea of what could the storyline be. We saw how Eleven appears to be captured (and has a new haircut!) along with Hopper being of course in Russia, and the rest of the crew are investigating and assessing from what it seems to be like a creepy old house.
Season 4 is going to be scarier and more mature – In an interview with a leading global film magazine in April 2020, Joe Keery who essays Steve Harrington opening up on the season 4 storyline had shared, “Oh man, it’s pretty amazing—the Duffer brothers have really done it again. I think that this year—and I know I say this every single year—but this is definitely going to be a lot scarier than prior years, because last year was pretty dark”.
The Duffer brothers in their interview with a global entertainment portal back in August 2020 opening up on the season 4 being a bit comic this time around had said, “There’s a little more humor in it, a little more action, and it just has a different feel than the past two seasons, which were set in the fall and a little more dreary and scary”.
During an earlier interview a few months back with a global entertainment digital publication in April 2021, Gaten Matarazzo opening up on how new season 4 felt more mature, had said, “As we are growing older as people, we have to grow older as characters. The show’s creators are confronted by this issue, but they embrace it, and they use it to their advantage. And they don’t freak out when we get taller or when our voices drop or anything like that. They use it and they use it as ammunition for their writing”.
Finally, in an earlier interview with a leading global entertainment on 3rd May 2021, Maya Hawke who plays Robin in series revealing about how her character gets more focus and attention in this upcoming season had shared, “The Duffer brothers…keep investing and building the characters. It’s an honor to be a part of it, and work with them, and watch them build these people, especially Robin … They really dig into her this season and I’m really, really grateful”.
Season 4 is not the last season – Also, back in earlier interview in last year August 2020, the creators of Stranger Things franchise, Ross Duffer and Matt Duffer in an interview with a leading global entertainment portal opening up on how season 4 is not the last season had said, “Season 4 won’t be the end. We know what the end is, and we know when it is. The pandemic has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story”.
