Singer Miley Cyrus expressed sorrow for the disasters that struck her hometown after thunderstorms and tornadoes tore through Nashville and neighboring counties in the early hours of Tuesday. The pop star began the caption by writing, “Thinking about my home and family in Nashville and how fortunate I am that my place and loved ones have remained safe in these deadly tornados.” “We are #NashvilleStrong and will rebuild together! My heart is broken for my home state. So much loss and damage,” Cyrus quoted. 

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency reported as many as 22 people lost their lives in Tennessee after severe storms and tornadoes. In Nashville, 48 buildings collapsed, others were destroyed, and about 150 people are been hospitalized because of the storm, according to Mayor John Cooper.
