While promoting Australian underwear brand, which is sure, why not, Cody gave an interview to The Sydney Morning Herald and spoke about what Miley Cyrus is like dating. He also acknowledged that some of his horny poems about Prince Neptune concern Miley (is anyone surprised?), and said “Being with Miley is a wonderful thing in my life. She is creative and inspiring, fiercely independent and encourages me to be my own person, too. We are both creative individuals who support one another with our work. Miley also inspires my art. There’s some romance in the poems I have written and yeah, they might be about her. It’s inevitable that what happens in my private life comes out in my work.”
Talking more about Cody’s love life, he also revealed that he’s “far too young” to consider marriage right now, adding that while he’s “never really been heartbroken in the deepest sense,” he’s “always disappointed in relationships.” Strangely enough, he also brought Gigi Hadid into it, saying, “I dated Gigi Hadid for two years and have always enjoyed being with independent women who are strong individuals.”
Cody claims independence is one of the keys to a healthy relationship. ‘In order to have a successful relationship, you have to know how to be your own person,’ Simpson said. ‘You don’t want to be half a person trying to find another half to complement you.’
Miley and Cody’s relationship has been making headlines since they were spotted kissing in Los Angeles at the beginning of October, just two months after her break up from her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth.
Since then the lovebirds, who have officially even moved in together, have been full steam ahead. Until then, the pair have been inseparable, even isolating together in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak.
