Meghan Markle’s BFF Jessica Mulroney Lost Big Jobs; ABC And CTV Have Ended Ties

In reaction to the widely viewed Instagram video of Sasha Exeter — accusing Jessica Mulroney of threatening her and seeking to discredit her — both ABC and CTV have ended ties with Mulroney.

On Wednesday, Canadian lifestyle blogger Sasha Exeter called out Jessica Mulroney, Meghan Markle‘s best friend, and wedding planner who was at the front row for Prince Harry’s fairytale nuptials in 2018.

Exeter accused Mulroney of undermining their partnerships with potential sponsors last week in a tearful, 11-minute video shared to her now more than 70,000 Instagram followers.

In the initial video, Exeter clarified that she believes Mulroney “wrongly assumed that my generic call to action on my Instagram stories was a direct and blatant callout to her.”

CTV revealed on Thursday that it was immediately removing Mulroney ‘s show, I Do, Redo, from all Bell Media networks and platforms into effect. The network wrote in a statement, “Bell Media and CTV encourages our entire team including our on-air talent to practice respect, inclusivity, and allyship as we pledge to work better and more openly to listen to and amplify Black voices, and not to minimize them.”

It began when she wrote Instagram call-to-action posts about Black Lives Matter and the worldwide mass demonstrations following George Floyd ‘s death, Exeter said.

“I thought long and hard about naming this person in this video,” After untangling a thorough explanation of her communications with Mulroney over the last week, Exeter told her followers in an Instagram story. “And I personally feel that if we’re going to hold companies accountable during this time, we need to hold individuals accountable as well. And part of this woman’s power and privilege and her last name and her family made this whole thing scary. But there was no point in speaking up and sharing this without her name being called out.”
