After a year and a half of dating, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are officially engaged. The actress took to her Instagram to officially announce and shared a video of their intimate proposal, citing that it took place on Tuesday, January 11. Fox also noted in her post’s lengthy caption that she and the musician ‘drank each other’s blood’ to celebrate the occasion. The clip shows Machine Gun Kelly getting down on one knee in a location special to the couple as Fox stood in shock with her hands over her mouth.
Fox also dropped to her knees and allowed MGK to place the engagement ring on her finger. The lovebirds then wrapped their arms around one another and shared a kiss. “In July of 2020, we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time,” Megan, who first became romantically linked to MGK in May of 2020, began her caption.
The actress continued, “Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma. Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him.” Megan added, “And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.” “and then we drank each other’s blood 1.11.22,” concluded the actress.
Machine Gun Kelly showed off the Transformers star’s stunning engagement ring which featured a diamond and emerald in honor of their respective birthstones. MGK captioned the post, “I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birthstone) and the diamond (my birthstone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love,” he explained of the custom ring.
The punk rocker also shared a slow-motion video of him and Megan falling backward onto a bed with red rose petals placed on top of it in the shape of a heart. Shortly after the pair posted their respective engagement announcements, the comment section was flooded with congratulations from several of their famous friends including Kim Kardashian and Travis Barker.
