All eyes are on celebrities’ appearances as the 2023 Met Gala starts. For this year’s theme, the guests were asked to wear outfits that would pay tribute to the late German fashion designer “Karl Lagerfeld”. The event is known for its controversial red carpet, where artists go all out to achieve the perfect look, so their looks should be remembered throughout the year. This year, rapper Lil Nas X was hard to spot at the red carpet-event.
The 24-year-old singer showed up to the 2023 Met Gala on Monday night in a fully crystallized look by Pat McGrath and Dior Men that almost completely hid his identity. With his body shining with silver from head to toe, Lil Nas X was decked out with a host of silver sequins and pearls. The Montero singer also sported a glittery face mask that covered every inch of his face. The mask also included a pair of platforms that paid homage to the late Karl Lagerfeld’s cat, Choupette. He also donned a bejewelled silver thong, that steered off his bottom when he spun around.
The rapper has shared pictures taken with himself and other celebs from the event on his social media platforms. But all eyes are on him, and he is getting genuine reactions from his fans. One fan wrote, “imagine taking a picture not knowing lil nas x’s sparkly ass cheeks was right behind you.” Another fan wrote, “oh my god this is breathtaking i watched it like 8 times.” One more wrote, “reminds me of the Dona Cat red rhinestones look i loooooove it.”
Meanwhile, many celebrities, including Kendall Jenner, Anne Hathaway, Rita Ora, Florence Pugh, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Janelle Monáe, and Jenna Ortega, graced the red carpet with their unique looks to pay tribute to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld.
