Liam Hemsworth Replaces Henry Cavill In The Witcher Season 4

Liam Hemsworth is all set to star as the lead character Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix hit series The Witcher season 4 replacing Henry Cavill.

Liam Hemsworth will replace Henry Cavill in his leading role as Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix fantasy drama The Witcher ahead of the series’ fourth season. Hemsworth took to his social media and revealed he was ‘over the moon about the opportunity to’ play the TV show’s monster-hunter protagonist.

While sharing The Witcher cover art, the actor penned, “I’m honoured that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure.” The Hunger Games actor concluded while noting, “Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I may have some big boots to fill, but I’m truly excited to be stepping into The Witcher world.”

Cavill also took to his social media to share that his journey in The Witcher has come to an end. The actor penned alongside his photo, “My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4.” The Man of Steel actor went on to explain he was passing the torch to Liam Hemsworth, who will ‘be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf.’

Henry then added, “As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men.” Cavill concluded his caption while noting, “Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.”

Hemsworth recently made headlines for taking on a much older appearance in his new film, Poker Face. Meanwhile, Cavill recently made headlines as he confirmed his return to the DC universe as Superman. Cavill previously took to his Instagram to share a video in which he announced that he will return to the role of Superman in the DC Extended Universe after he made a mid-credits cameo in the new Dwayne Johnson-led superhero film.
