Liam Hemsworth is a Hollywood heartthrob. He has stolen many hearts with his dashing personality. However, before all this, Liam was just an awkward teenager like us. A high school photo of a weird-looking Liam resurfaced on social media after it was posted by the Celeb Spellcheck Instagram account. The Hunger Games star sported curly hair and a few freckles as he sat for a photo wearing a blue shirt.
Fans soon jumped to the comments section to poke fun at Liam, with one calling him ‘the Prince Harry of Australia’s royal family.’ Another said the throwback could ‘double as most blokes’ Tinder profile in 2022′. On the work front, Liam has taken on a much older appearance in the new film Poker Face, in which he stars alongside Russell Crowe.
The movie had its Australian premiere in Sydney on Tuesday night. Other stars include rapper RZA, Aden Young (Rectify), Steve Bastoni (Fires), Daniel MacPherson (Neighbours) and Brooke Satchwell (Black Snow). Liam’s sister-in-law Elsa Pataky (Fast and Furious franchise) and Jack Thompson (High Ground) also appear in the film. Poker Face, directed by and starring Crowe, will debut on Stan on November 22.
Moreover, Liam is up to replace Henry Cavill in Netflix’s The Witcher. Hemsworth will star in the leading role of Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix fantasy drama The Witcher ahead of the series’ fourth season. Hemsworth took to his social media and revealed he was ‘over the moon about the opportunity to’ play the TV show’s monster-hunter protagonist. While sharing The Witcher cover art, the actor penned, “I’m honoured that he’s handing me the reins.”
The actor continues, “and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure.” The Hunger Games actor concluded while noting, “Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I may have some big boots to fill, but I’m truly excited to be stepping into The Witcher world.” Cavill also took to his social media to share that his journey in The Witcher has come to an end.
